Dear Swim Family,

We are super excited about the upcoming 2021 Swim Season. The Board has met regarding NWAL guidance and what this will look like for the swim season. Please be aware that changes may take place, and we all need to be flexible and patient as we go through this swim season.

Registration: We will have two days for registration, March 20th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and March 27th from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. Both registrations will take place at the Clubhouse. We will have all copies of the required documents at the site and they will also be attached to the email. Please use these attachments.

**Junior Dolphins: We will not have Junior Dolphins Learn to Swim this year.**

Volunteer Deposit and Credit: The volunteer deposit has increased from $100 to $150. If you remember last year, we sent an email saying the volunteer deposit was increasing to $200 and was in line with other swim teams surrounding us. We reduced the deposit to $150 this year, but we need all parents volunteering to make this a successful swim season.

To get your refund back you will need to have 8 volunteer credits at a minimum. (You can always volunteer more! If an email goes out or an all-call for help is announced at a meet, please step up and answer the call. The meet will stop if we do not have volunteers to run the meet.) You will receive one credit for attending the parent meeting and one credit for donating the soda/special item. You can bring your donated item to the parent meeting or turn it in during swim practice. The remaining credits will be earned by volunteering during the meet.

Key Volunteer Positions: We have Key Volunteer positions that need to be filled. By volunteering for this position, you will receive money back on top of your volunteer deposit fee. Please let us know if you would be interested in these positions.

$25 Additional back: Clerk of Course/Ready Bench Head; Concessions Coordinator; Volunteer Coordinator; Invitational Coordinator; and Head Timer

$50 Additional back: Officials: Head Ref; Starter; Stroke and Turn Official (5 needed)

1 Free Swimmer with no additional refund: Computer Person (2 needed)

Parent Meeting: We will have two opportunities for you to attend the required parent meeting. The parent meeting will be April 15^th and April 16^th from 6:00-7:00. If you have a child ages 10 and under, please attend April 15^th and April 16^th if you have a child 11 and up. This will help us with social distancing. Only one parent needs to attend for the credit, but both may attend if you like. Future meetings will be held on Thursdays and are optional.

Swim Practice: Swim Practice will start April 19^th. Practices will be broken down by age group like in the past; however, the practices will be split between dry land and pool time to help with social distancing. Parents will not be allowed in the pool area during practice and will need to stay in the park area.

Practice start time: Tentative schedule until the end of the school year

5:00-5:30 pm: 6 and under

5:30-6:15 pm: 7/8

6:15-7:00 pm: 9/10

7:00-7:45 pm: 11/12

7:45-8:30 pm: 13 and up

AM practice start time: Tentative schedule that will start once school is out

7:00-8:00 am: 8 and under

9:00-10:00 am: 9/10

10:00-11:00 am: 11/12

10:00-11:00 am: 13 and up

Swim Meets:

There will still be 6 teams in our particular division. We will swim against 3 of those teams over a 6-week period. We will swim against the same team over a two-weekend stretch, so that means we will be home one meet and away the following meet. The meet will be split by age group to help with social distancing. Ages 10 and under one weekend and 11 and up the following weekend, or vice versa. Due to the schedule this year, there will be NO DIVISIONALS.

Although the governor has lifted the mask mandate, following NWAL guidance, parents and children ages 4 and up, will be required to wear a mask while on deck to watch a heat, while going to the restrooms, and while getting food from the concessions stand. Masks must be word properly at all times in the designated places.

To follow safe distancing guidance, there will be a flow of traffic at our pool to keep the flow of traffic going and to reduce individuals passing in front of each other. A map will be sent showing the flow of traffic. At the meets, to reduce the number of people on deck, please only watch the heat that your child is currently participating in. More information to come regarding this.

Concessions: We will have concessions this year, but it will be limited to packaged items. Concessions will be open during the meets and during practices. We have an Amazon Wishlist if you would like to help us offset the cost and stock the concessions stand! You can have the donated item shipped to your house and you can bring it to the parent meeting, or you can have the item shipped to the Wishlist holder and they will bring it to the concessions stand.

Swim Shop Days: We will have two Swim Shop Days! The Swim Shop is located at 5010 Louetta Spring, Tx 77379. The days are April 17^th 10am-4pm and April 22^nd 11am-6pm. See attached flyer for more information.

Picture Day: Pictures will be taken on Friday, May 7^th We anticipate the group picture will be taken at 6pm. Individual pictures may be taken before/after the group picture. More information come out regarding picture day as more information is given to us from the picture people. We just wanted you to have the date.

Spirit Nights: We are working on Spirit Nights right now. Please consider attending Spirit Nights to help get money back for the team!
